Fractional Ecommerce & Marketing Lead

Business Generalist. Ecommerce Specialist. AI Systems Builder.

I help product-based businesses build better ecommerce systems, smarter marketing, and AI-powered workflows that actually save time — not the kind that just adds another tool to the pile.I don't specialise in one thing. I work across the whole customer journey — strategy, operations, ecommerce, marketing, AI, and creative — because in a small business, all of that is connected whether you plan for it or not.Based in Tasmania, Australia. What I Do

Most growing businesses hit a point where marketing, ecommerce, and operations stop talking to each other. Marketing gets reactive. Systems evolve by accident instead of by design. The owner ends up holding it all together themselves. That's the mess I step into.I build practical systems that help a business market consistently, launch products without a scramble, cut the manual busywork, and make better calls using technology — including AI, where it actually earns its place. My work spans: Ecommerce strategy · Shopify management · AI workflow design · Marketing systems · Email marketing & customer retention · SEO & AI Search (AEO) · Paid media · Product launches · Creative direction · Analytics & reporting · Business systems & process improvement

Why I Work Differently

I've never worked in just one department.Over the past three decades I've worked in admin, finance, hospitality, education, business ownership, ecommerce, marketing, and operations. That range means I don't look at a marketing problem as just a marketing problem — I'm thinking about what it does to the customer experience, what it costs operationally, what it means financially, and whether a small team can actually sustain it.Technology will keep changing. What works doesn't: strategy, operations, and marketing pulling in the same direction.

AI is my production engine

I build AI workflows that cut production time down significantly, without losing quality, consistency, or brand voice — product photography, content pipelines, email builds, launch assets, SEO, documentation, process automation. The goal isn't replacing people. It's freeing them up for the decisions that actually need them.Small businesses rarely need more software — they need better systems. My work sits right where ecommerce, marketing, operations, and AI overlap. Not to create more work, but to build things that keep producing better work with less effort, even as the tools around them keep changing.

Admin

Early on, I worked inside small businesses from health, office furniture to publishing and a family building company — admin, accounts, costings, the day-to-day of running a business. It's where I first understood how the financial and operational side of a business actually works.

Hospitality & Small Business

As a café owner, I found out firsthand what running a small business actually involves — inventory, suppliers, cashflow, customers, staff, marketing, operations, all of it, all at once. Every decision hits the business somewhere.

Community & Content

Long before social media was a standard marketing channel, I built and ran an online food co-op that grew almost entirely through Facebook. I also built and ran a blogging platform for direct sellers, helping them build visibility through content and search. Both taught me the same lesson: what wins is a system for showing up consistently, not one big campaign.

Ecommerce & AI

Where it all comes together
With a background in education, I've always liked making complicated things easier to understand — documenting a process, training a team, introducing AI into how someone already works. Today that shows up as AI used not to replace people, but to tighten systems, keep things consistent, and free up time for the decisions that actually need a human.
